Our responsibilities

We follow the goal of creating new values, not only economically, but also socially and ecologically: we are dedicated to achieving good financial results in the long run and helping the society in which we operate change for the better.

We want to improve people’s lives, primarily through high quality products and services that satisfy our clients’ need for protection. We also feel like a part of the community in which we operate and we intend to aid it through showing support for various projects. We believe that our success is primarily based on the quality of our human resources. In fact, it is our goal to improve social dialogue in order to contribute to awareness of the employees about the development of the business.

Our corporate responsibility strategy is based on business priorities of the Group and principles determined in our Code of Conduct. The strategy also takes into consideration the needs and expectations of our key interest groups, who play an important part in the continuous success of the Group. Our strategy has been defined in the Charter of Sustainability Commitments. This document is of key significance for the control of important social, ecological and management matters. It also identifies action taking areas on which we plan to focus in the future in order to help us achieve our business goals and create value for our interest groups.

For the purpose of identifying the priorities of our corporate responsibility strategy and of defining the contents of the Sustainability Report, we have conducted our formal materiality analysis, in accordance with the reporting guidelines GRI-G4.

Generali pursues long-term growth, integrating sustainability into the core business and acting as Lifetime Partner to the stakeholders.
